Description

In one swift moment, a fall wiped away his memory. All he knew for certain was that someone wanted him dead—and that he had better learn why. But everywhere he turned there seemed to be more questions—or people too willing to hide the truth behind a smoke screen of lies. He had only the name he had been told was his own, his mysterious skill with a gun, and a link to a half million dollars’ worth of buried gold as evidence of his past life. Was the treasure his? Was he a thief? A killer? He didn’t have the answers, but he needed them soon. Because what he still didn’t know about himself, others did—and if he didn’t unlock the secret of his past, he wasn’t going to have much of a future.

Lee AdkinsApril 8th, 2020Book Review: The Man Called Noon by Louis L’Amour The book named “The Man Called Noon” is a very good book. The author is very good at describing the scenes and areas in the book. The book is also good with keeping the readers interested and leading them on. The book was very organized and clean. First of all, the author Louis L’Amour was very good at describing the scenes and areas in “The Man Called Noon”. The book had very good scenes in it where the surrounding areas were described very well like you could picture it in your mind. In the beginning of the book the author painted a very good scene of what was going on “The idea was in his mind when he opened his eyes to the darkness of a narrow space between two buildings. His eyes came to a focus on a rectangle of light on the wall of the building opposite, the light from a second story window(chapter 1, page 1)”. This man woke up after falling from a bright two story window into a dark alley at night. Secondly, the book is good at keeping the reader’s interest and leading them on to want to know more. When he woke up in the alley after the fall he didn’t know who he was or what was going on other than he needed to run “Only one thing mattered now---- escape. He must get away, clear away, and as quickly as possible(chapter 1, page 1). With that it makes you wanna keep reading to figure out what is going on and get you more interested in the book. Thirdly, the book was very organized and clean. What I mean by clean is that the whole book flowed together so well and was easy to comprehend. So in this book it was easy to leave off wherever and be able to come back and know what is going on. Also everything was organized and every chapter was like a new step in this man called Noon’s life and everything coming together. In conclusion, this book was well put together and a good book. With how the book described the scenes and the surrounding areas good enough where you could picture it like you were there. The book also kept you hooked on it and led you on with how interesting it was. Also with the book being clean and organized made it easy to comprehend and get a better understanding. If I was to rate this book I would rate it a 5 out of 5.
