Description

Ok. How good? I have given 9 of these DVDs to friends. I know its rep is not outstanding but that is because its interpretation is unique....but, folks, that is the earmark of La Mancha production. The show is a. platform for a wide range of interpretations and this one presents us with a relationship that never seems like it might work until it does. The Dulcinea/LaMancha match up is strained, hard and disjointed throughout....and it works (just as those interpretations that make the two leading roles seem "star crossed"....now I am a major fan and have seen the play on a great variety stages....this production is one of the better stages. Not the best....but damn good.
